Is it possible to side with the enclave

Well as Lt. Andronicus pointed out the Enclave in Fallout 2 have no need for you at all. Unlike the Master in Fallout which did want you to become a super mutant. But Fallout 3 the Enclave actually had a need for you, they lead you down the path of joining but then they become hostile to you yet again. Its as if Bethesda planned to let you pick a side in an Enclave civil war, but then aborted that path and left a lot of loose ends in the form of plot holes.

Did you rig it properly? How long did you wait? Boards Fallout 3 Can you join the enclave? User Info: ghostshootr. One shall always make a mistake in the time of most need only to fix it and feel better. Psn- Candyisland. User Info: Iminyourcloset. No, you can't, which I find irritating. It doesn't feel like an RPG if you don't have a choice over which side you're on, you just automatically get lumped with the 'good' side even if you're a sadistically evil character.

User Info: goochsr. User Info: superbuu3. I do find it annoying though. In oblivion you could pretty much join up with any gang you wanted to, even if you could just get a couple of enclave missions it would be considerably cooler IMO. User Info: LordVukodlak. You haven't played many RPG game have you? You couldn't join Dagon in Oblivion, Or whats his name fro Morrowind. They just want to control the water around the capitol. Their means to do it is bad, but their plan is just to be the saviors.

It's eden who wants to kill everyone like in fallout 2. It wa a huge missed opportunity with Bethesda to not allow us to join the enclave. They have the means to do what the brotherhood ends up doing anyways, only they would have been better at it. Broken Steel shows how unfit the brotherhood are with the whole water scenario. Too bad bethesda couldn't have done something interesting with the enclave. They could have made them learn from their past mistakes and gave the player a tough choice: Trust the enclave or brotherhood, each with their ups and downs.

Instead we have to fight with the brotherhood even though afterwards it proves just to be hell for them. So no enclave in Fallout 3 aren't completely evil, bethesda just forced us to accept they were. Last edited by Power Fisting Lesbian ; 23 Sep, pm.

Let me guess Bethesda, they were on board the Mothership Zeta all along, ready to beam down and kill all humans, again? Earth , Nov 29, It has been said here a hundred times but we need new factions, not repeats of the same old ones from previous games.

The Enclave has been the enemy twice. The BoS has been in every game released. Mutants were the big bad villains the first time out. Robots were the main enemy in Tactics. The Legion in New Vegas. Why not another new faction? Are the Enclave really that unique?

They seem to believe the same way the BoS does in some cases since they are so focused on purity and against the mutants and other radiated life in the Wasteland. I am curious what working for the Enclave would be like you kinda see that in F2 but I feel it would be more of the same.

TorontoReign , Nov 30, Dr Fallout , Nov 30, I like the enclave, the only possible scenario that I wouldn't roll my eyes at would be a small chapter Chicago possibly trying to reintegrate themselves with the rest of the wasteland. In a positive or helpful way maybe, even as an enclave sympathiser we all need to acknowledge that they have had their run. Freight83 , Dec 11, It really should've been possible with Autumn, but Emil couldn't be bothered to do writing.
